Born in February 2024, Waffle+Coffee is all about celebrating creativity, community, and the humble waffle. As the café extension of our beloved mobile catering company, Waffle+Co (est. 2018), we’ve taken everything we love about food and brought it into a permanent, welcoming space in the heart of Saffron Walden.
We specialise in both savoury and sweet waffles—think beautifully crisp bases loaded with bold, exciting toppings. Whether you're stopping by for brunch, coffee and cake, or something more indulgent, we’ve got you covered.
We love to keep things fresh and collaborative. Our café plays host to supper clubs, private hires, and chef takeovers—offering up something a little different each time you visit.
Community is at the heart of everything we do. Our ingredients and aesthetics are proudly local: fresh fish from Saffron Fish Co, meat from Burton’s Butchers, handmade ceramic vases by Wightman Studios, pastries and sourdough from Smalltown Bakery, gluten-free cakes from Honest to Goodness, illustrations by Dillon Howling, and expertly roasted coffee from Ninth Coffee.

Our ingredients
We firmly believe that we are only as good as the ingredients we use. We don't believe in compromising and have always tried to support many of the great local suppliers we have around us.
We source as much as we can from our local area, and believe that our business can be at the centre of growth for other local businesses we buy from.
We are extremely happy to have seen many of the businesses in our supply chain grow their businesses alongside ours. We all ultimately depend on you, our customers, at the centre of everything we do.
We’re never tempted to cut corners and cost because we are all proud of what we offer - we aren’t the cheapest but we do pay fair prices to our suppliers and give them space to grow with us.
